Parents Night Out
Mom and Dad’s can enjoy a night out while their kids are having a blast at Gym America! Ages 5 and over – a fun-filled evening of gymnastics, games and more! Cost is $25 for Gym America students & $30 for non-students. Saturday, December 10th. Drop off at 7:00 pm pick up by 10:15 pm. You must pre-register. Camryn McPherson competes in the HOPES Qualifier
Camryn qualified her Elite Compulsories in February at the Elite Qualifier in Arizona. She has not been able to compete AA due to Seavers Disease in her heel. Camryn has been dedicated and hard working. She competed one event in the Elite Qualifier. Camryn is getting healthy and excited to be training new skills this summer. We look forward to a great season next year.
Claudia Kretschmer & Kim Cunningham attend the inaugural Junior Olympic Coaches Certification Course.
The inaugural Junior Olympic Coaching Certification and Training Camp took place at the U. S. Olympic Training Center at the Karolyi’s Ranch on May 26 – 30, 2011. Thirty three coaches and forty-five gymnasts took part in this new educational program offered by USA Gymnastics.
The coaches certifications included both practical and classroom instruction under the direction of USA Gymnastics National Coaching Staff Tammy Biggs and Steve Rybacki.

TOPS National Team Qualifier
Congratulations to Camryn McPherson for qualifying as an 11 yr-old to the TOPS National Camp. The training camp will take place in November back at the Ranch! Camryn placed in the top 15 in the 11 yr-old age group in the Nation.

Gym America’s director, Claudia Kretschmer, was honored to receive the Region 5 Contributor of the Year Award at U.S.A. Gymnastic’s 2010 Regional Congress.
Brian Zook wins Michigan Coach of the Year Award
Congratulations to Gym America’s Coach Brian Zook for winning the 2009 Michigan Male Compulsory Coach of the Year. Brian has been recognized for his outstanding work by the State of Michigan’s Coaches and Judges.
