Optional Team Program

(Levels 7, 8, 9, 10)

The Optional Team Program sets higher standards as gymnasts build on their basics and strive for excellence. Our goal at Gym America is for gymnasts not only to be successful in the gym, but to apply their self-discipline to all areas of their lives. Although our upper-level gymnasts compete at an advanced level, our dedicated staff members and positive environment ensure that gymnasts experience a true team experience, a sense of accomplishment, and most of all, fun!

Compulsory

(Competitive 4, Level 5 & 6)

Gym America’s Compulsory Program builds a strong foundation for our athletes. Our staff uses a hands-on approach to help our gymnasts learn correct body positions which helps build stronger and more graceful gymnasts. At Gym America we believe in a solid foundation of basic skills and therefore have very high level coaches at all levels of our Compulsory Program.

Prep-Optional

(Levels Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum)

The Region 5 Prep-Optional program was developed and authored by Claudia Kretschmer, our director, and has been adopted by many states across the nation. The Prep-Optional team is a unique program that meets the needs of many gymnasts by providing a team atmosphere and a competitive experience without the large time and financial commitments required for traditional Junior Olympic gymnastics teams. Since this program is sponsored by USA Gymnastics, each child will still have the excitement of participating in sanctioned competitions in Michigan and earning great awards.
